CBD and the Endocannabinoid System

We sell so much CBD and want everyone who purchases it or is thinking of purchasing it to truly understand and know how it works! We will explain what the Endocannabinoid System (ECS) is.

Everyone has an immune system, digestive system and so forth. Little do some people know that we all have an Endocannabinoid System. So what is an ECS? It is thousands of neurotransmitters that bind to cannabinoid receptors and cannabinoid receptor proteins that are expressed throughout the brain, central nervous system, and peripheral nervous system. In English, it is receptors that connect to the brain, spinal cord, and all your nerves. So basically it reacts with your whole body!

There are currently two known subtypes of cannabinoid receptors, termed CB1 and CB2. The CB1 receptor is expressed mainly in the brain, but also in the lungs, liver and kidneys. So once CBD enters the body it will start working with all of your receptors including, serotonin (mood enhancer), dopamine (cravings), adenosine (anxiety) and pain receptors plus many many more. The CB2 receptor is expressed mainly in the immune system, but also works with gut and colon health! This is already in our bodies which means our bodies were made and are compatible to work with cannabinoids!

The more CBD is used the more your body will recognize it and will not have to relearn what it is and can use it faster and more efficiently. Even on your “good” days, still use your CBD products. We hope this helps explain how CBD works a little bit better and if you ever have any questions please stop in or give us a call!
